  • Disclaimer:
    There are significant elements of risk and hazards to participants in any adventure sports. EMAC Club staff will provide as safe an environment as possible, but cannot possibly eliminate all of the elements of risk and danger, given the nature of these activities.

    Paragliding is a weather-dependent sport and may require waiting for the right conditions, or rescheduling to the next available day.
    Will involve some repetitive physical training to promote muscle memory. As well as light uphill trekking to get to the takeoff point.
    It will probably be a hot day, with no shade or cloud cover.

    Risks:
    The risks involved are not limited to but include: Injury from falling from high elevations; cuts, bruises, abrasions, muscle and tendon strain and bone fractures; insect stings, rope burns, paralysis and even death. Injury from falling equipment or rocks and the presence, actions or falls of other participants and staff; getting dirt or other material in the eyes; injuries from choosing not to wear a personal harness. helmet and impact pads; failure to follow the safety policies and instructions; misuse of equipment or facilities; fatigue; dehydration; chill; heat and/or dizziness which may diminish reaction time and increase the risk of accidents.

    Assumption of Risk and Release:
    I hereby certify that I have full knowledge of the risks involved in adventure and extreme sport activities and that not all risks can be eliminated given the nature of these activities. Further, I expressly agree and assume/accept all of the related risks. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary. By submitting this form I indicate that, I have been made aware of the risks involved and/or given a copy of the Disclaimer and Risks that I have read, understand and agree to. I will be required to sign a paper copy of this form on the training site.

    Cancellations & Refunds
    I understand that the following policy is necessary to ensure my attendance and no loss to EMAC due to limited spaces. The time shown are hours prior to my selected training date;
    ·     72 hours = Full refund or guaranteed reschedule 
    ·     48 hours = 50% refund or reschedule based on availability
    ·     24 hours = 0% refunds or reschedule based on availability
    ·         12 hours = 0% refunds and no reschedule

    NOTE: If your training is completed but you could not take your flights due to bad weather, your flights will be rescheduled to another day. If due to any other reason beyond EMACs control, the event is cancelled, particiapnt will be given a choice of a full refund or reschedule.There are no refunds for no-shows!

    I CONFIRM THAT

    ·     I am 18 years of age or over on the day of this event – if under 18 this form must be signed by Parent/Guardian
    ·     I am medically fit and will inform the organizers in advance of the day of any medical condition which may affect my participation.
    ·     I am taking part entirely at my own risk and that the event organizers, sponsors, and suppliers will not be liable for any injury or loss of, or damage to my property. The event organizers will not accept responsibility for claims in respect of death or bodily injury or damage to property arising as a result of dare- devil acts, negligence and not following instructions.

    ·     I agree that Mubarak Village is a military controlled and high security area, the organizers have no provisions for security on-route 
    ·     I agree that I will not take photographs of any military installations in the area and will ask the instructors if I am not sure.
    ·     I agree to collect and take my garbage/litter back with me, and leave the area as I found it.
    ·     It is my responsibility to ensure I have been provided all the relevant necessary information about my training day.
    ·     It is my responsibility as the group organizer to ensure that the above information is passed on to all members of my group
