Thank you for your interest in our program. The earlier you start the application process, the better! We recommend to complete it at least four weeks before the start date of your session.
A word of caution - Make sure you get your information only from us, the official program organizer: our websites are constantly updated, and only we give you the most accurate and reliable information. We are not responsible for information published on websites that are not ours.
Please carefully read below all information regarding the requirements to successfully complete your registration process for the Kibbutz Ulpan program. We recommend you use it as a checklist.

applicants - and we are under no obligation to disclose our reasons.
MASA ISRAEL JOURNEY
PZC Hagshama is the organizer of the Kibbutz Ulpan Program, in cooperation with Masa Israel Journey, a joint project operated by the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency for Israel. Masa provides financial support for eligible applicants, based on country of origin, age, program length, and personal or family financial situation. When you register for the program, simultaneously check your eligibility for a Masa grant or scholarship here. Processing of the Masa application may take up to 30 days. Applicants are then informed directly by Masa of the amount awarded to them. All grant/scholarship applications must be submitted before the start date of the ulpan.
VERY IMPORTANT : Entry Permit to Israel
In order for you to receive any Masa funding you must present Masa with your entry permit from passport control (a small bluish note) that you will receive when entering Israel . You need to upload the entry permit to your Masa Profile Page no later than TWO WEEKS AFTER THE START DATE OF YOUR PROGRAM in order to be eligible for Masa money.

Once you are awarded financial aid from Masa, you need to go to the Israeli Consulate/Embassy to get an A2 Masa student visa to Israel (free of charge). Needed documents: 1) passport which is valid for at least ONE YEAR from the date you plan to enter Israel, 2) our acceptance letter, and 3) the letter of participation that you will receive from Masa. IMPORTANT : WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND ARRANGING YOUR A2 MASA VISA BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL IN ISRAEL! After full completion of the program, Masa particpants are eligible for a six-month work permit.
# If you are not eligible for Masa financial aid, please contact our Kibbutz Ulpan Program Head office by phone or email, in order to receive information how to obtain an A2 non-Masa student visa valid for six months.
@ NOTE: Holders of Israeli passports do NOT need any visa, just a letter of army deferral (IDF). Contact your nearest embassy/consulate for details.

You must email us (to your Program Advisor) proof of payment (the confirmation document you receive from your bank/Credit Card Company) so that we can track the money.
HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU PAY?
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PAYMENTS - Banks and Credit Card companies charge for their services! We do not know how much these fees are, but we use your money to pay for your program. It is therefore important that we receive the exact amount we ask for. So please bear in mind:
If you pay by Credit Card, you must add a 4% Commission Fee.
If you pay per Bank Transfer, make sure to mark OUR
not SHA or BEN
(meaning that YOU pay the bank fees).
If you do not do this, you have not paid for your program in full, and we will have to bill you for the missing money.
The price of the full regular 5-month program is US$ 6,150 - for the 2021-2022 sessions (the Internship Option is more expensive, and the Yagur B&B option is cheaper). The price includes: accommodation, all meals (or a budget for meals), Hebrew lessons, subsidized laundry, trips around Israel and medical insurance for the duration of the program.
If you receive a MASA grant/scholarship, you are required to pay the program price MINUS your MASA grant/scholarship, with a minimum of US$ 2,000 (this is the scholarship deposit), in order to book a place in the program. So in any case you must make a first payment of at least US$ 2,000 – one month before the program start date at the latest. If your MASA scholarship is higher than US$ 2,000, we will refund the difference after full completion of the program. Please contact us one week before the end of the session in order to start the refunding process.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT MASA GRANTS/SCHOLARSHIPS:
Masa funding is awarded for
than the official start date, or
the official end date will result of a reduction of the Masa funding. You will owe the Program Organizer (us) the amount that Masa has reduced.
You will actually receive Masa funding
after uploading to the Masa Participants Portal
PROOF of ENTRY DATE into Israel
. Without this proof, you will not get ANY money from Masa!
If you do not receive a MASA grant/scholarship, you are required to pay the full price before the beginning of the program.
Acceptance will not be confirmed until all documents and payment have been received. When our office receives your application, we will make every effort to place you in a program of your preference. Please note that in certain cases we might ask you for additional documentation or evaluation before final placement.
Your personal Program Advisor will be available for any questions you may have throughout the registration process.

Flights & Arrivals
Participants must buy their own flight ticket(s). They are

Transportation to/from the airport is the responsibility of the participant.
When entering Israel, the participant will receive from the Border Police (Passport Control) a small blue note. KEEP IT IN A SAFE PLACE BECAUSE THE KIBBUTZ STAFF NEEDS TO MAKE A COPY OF IT,
YOU HAVE TO UPLOAD IT TO YOUR PERSONAL MASA PAGE (if relevant, of course)!!!
The insurance is included in the program fee.
All participants are covered with medical insurance
while on the program (starting from the earliest possible arrival date). If you arrive in Israel BEFORE that date, we strongly recommend that you arrange medical insurance until the start date of the program. Medical coverage ends when you leave the program.
The insurance enables the participant to purchase medicines at a reduced price in the kibbutz clinic.
If a participant needs a certain medicine on a regular basis (for chronic diseases), we recommend (s)he bring an sufficient supply for the entire period, or alternatively makes prior arrangements so that the medicine will be sent to him/her.
Once the program is over or if the participant chooses (or is asked) to leave early, they will no longer be covered by the program medical insurance. It is the participant's responsibility to buy adequate medical insurance from that time on!
PZC Hagshama will not refund medical expenses beyond what the insurance covers.
The participant will independently cover any additional costs.
Valuables: PZC Hagshama and the kibbutz are not responsible for any lost or stolen items and will not refund any of the above. We suggest you leave valuable belongings in the Ulpan safe, or avoid bringing them with you altogether.
Cell Phones: PZC Hagshama does not endorse any provider of cell phone services. We recommend checking out the various deals by Israel Phones, Golan Telecom, Cellcom, Rami Levy, 012, Pelefon, etc. Purchase/hiring/use of any kind of phones/sim cards etc. are the participants' responsibility ONLY.
