These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Mashup DJ Academy (the "Platform") and independent freelance mentors (the "Mentor"). These Terms are effective from 28 March 2025 and remain in force until 28 September 2035 — a 10-year validity period (including the prior 6 months).
-
1. Free Demo Session
Mentors will provide a free demo session to prospective students so they can evaluate the mentor’s teaching style before enrollment. The Platform only facilitates the connection; the demo is conducted independently by the Mentor.
-
2. Payment Structure
Mentors set and declare their own fees for mentorship. The Platform charges the Mentor a one-time connecting fee equal to 40% of fees earned from the student upon successful connection after the demo. The Platform does not take payments directly from students; all student–mentor payments are handled by the Mentor independently. The Platform invoices or collects the connecting fee from the Mentor as per Platform procedures.
-
3. Professional Mentorship
Mentors operate autonomously and are responsible for guiding students and designing lesson plans. The Platform does not supervise, control, or certify teaching methods, session content, or learning outcomes.
-
4. Platform Support
The Platform facilitates communications, course updates, and administrative support via official channels (for example: mashupdjacademy@gmail.com). The Platform has no physical role in sessions and is not responsible for Mentor conduct or student results.
-
5. Acceptance and Confirmation
Mentors must confirm acceptance of these Terms by completing the Platform form (tick-box) and sending an email reply with the phrase: "Yes, I have read and agree to the Mashup DJ Academy Terms and Conditions". Submission of the form and email confirmation is mandatory — failure to confirm prevents partnership activation.
-
6. Liability
Mentors are solely responsible for the services they provide, including any legal compliance such as PPL/IPRS licensing, contracts with students, and conduct during sessions. The Platform is not liable for disputes, damages, or claims arising from mentorship services.
