    Please read the RCC application carefully and provide ALL details in all sections on the Application Form.

    All applications require a $100 administration fee. AusCycling wil invoice you the amount for payment prior to review of the RCC.

    • The AusCycling Community Instructor course provides participants with an introduction to the basics of teaching cycling, including the planning, implementation, analysis and revision of beginner cycling skills training sessions. This is achieved through application of the underpinning knowledge of the Sport AUS accreditation "Community Coaching General Principles" Program in a manner specific to cycling.

      As the applicant for RCC, you will be required to provide information and evidence on your sporting background, knowledge, training and skills instructing experience. Your application will be assessed based on the Community Instructor Course Learning Outcomes.

      You must be able to demonstrate the following key learning outcomes:

      1 Identify, establish and maintain safe traffic-free and low traffic teaching environments, clothing and equipment for all participants by applying appropriate risk management.
      2 Identify the ideal performance and key teaching points for essential traffic-free and low-traffic skills to analyse and develop an individual’s performance.       3 Plan, deliver and evaluate safe and effective training sessions that meet the demands of safe traffic-free and low traffic cycling.
      4 Identify ways of advocating cycling as a safe and viable mode of transport; a way of improving health; a positive effect on the environment; a fun activity.
      5 Identify appropriate opportunities for cycling participation in the community.
    • Section 2: Knowledge and Experience  
    • Please complete the following section in relation to your work experience, coaching, instructing, including any voluntary, unpaid, full-time or part-time work over the past 4 years. Please provide timelines (e.g. 2019/20)and clearly indicate which of the key learning outcomes you are addressing in this section.

    • ** Please attached a résumé of any instructing experience and positions held. Please provide supporting evidence such as references, letters of support or reports from experienced people within the sport.

    • Section 3: Qualifications and Training  
    • Please indicate the education and training you have previously undertaken, including formal courses, adult education courses, professional development opportunities at work or other sport training etc. that demonstrate competency, are relevant and provide support to your AusCycling Community Instructor Course RCC application. Again, please clearly indicate which of the key learning outcomes you are addressing in this section.

    • Please list any other activities you have undertaken and/or are currently involved in that demonstrate your skills and knowledge in the key learning outcomes applicable to this RCC application. For example: hobbies, recreational, leisure or sport activities you are involved in.

      1. A photo of your current AusCycling membership card or receipt from membership purchase

      2. A copy of your current First Aid Certificate

      3. A copy of your current Working with Children Check (relevant to State/Territory)

      4. A signed AusCycling Instructor/Coach Code of Behaviour Form

      5. Relevant documentation as evidence to support RCC application as required
