Welcome, Tella tutor applicant. Before you proceed with the application process, check the 8 conditions you have to meet in order to apply. If there is even one condition you do not meet, we strongly recommend you to stop the application process and prepare yourself to meet those conditions first.

The total application process will take approximately 60~120 minutes.

1. Basic working conditions (3 minutes)

You must be able to work the same 3 hours everyday from Monday to Friday.

2. Gadgets / Electricity / Internet (5 minutes)

Ensure us secure working conditions to provide your teaching services without interruption or delay.

3. Working condition / enviornment (1 minute)

We ask the question below for managerial purposes and DO NOT disqualify you based on the answers, with the exception of a pregnancy.

In the case of a pregnancy, we will not accept new hires that are more than 3 months pregnant. We want at least 6 months of uninterrupted work with any new hire.

1. Education background

The education requirement is a B.A. from an accredited university that requires 3+ years to graduate. If you have not been able to graduate yet, you must have completed a minimum of 2 years of the university.

2. Work experience / Certification

We do prefer an applicant to have work experience of 1 year or more, though you will not be disqualified for the lack of work experience. This is because generally, someone would have better work ethics and be able to manage themselves better than before they have work experience. 

Work experience means you have either worked for an employer in exchance for pay, or you earned income by creating your own business. It doesn't have have to be in English education or any other education field.

**You are required to submit either a CV/Resume or a Linkedin profile for credibility.

1. Self-evaluation (5 minutes)

The questions below are for you to self-examine and evaluate your job ability. There is no threshold of qualification for the answers you give below, so feel free to be honest about yorself.

2. Typing Speed Test (3 minutes)

Take the typing speed test at the link below. Take a 1-minute test with Aesop's fables. Minimize your errors and maximize your typing speed.

The minimum requirement is 45 WPM. You must reach 55 WPM before you officially start working as a Tella tutor.

3. Grammar Test (25~45 minutes)

The test will determine your English compentency. The minimum requirement is 85 out of 90. The higher the score, the higher the chance you have becoming a tutor at Tella.

*You will not go through the first round if you do not have a score of 84 or higher. So if you do not make 84 or higher, do not waste your time to fill out the whole application.

**You may take the test multiple times to increase your score. However, note that you will be tested on your grammar again with a time-limit, under the supervision of the company's staff.

4. Audio/Video introduction (5~10 minutes)

Give the company an audio/video introduction of yourself. Include the 4 topics below.

1. Your general information & current occupation
2. Your teaching experience or other working experience
3. Your strengths in teaching English
4. 2 topics that you can talk about all day

*The file must be in mp3, mp4 or m4a format.
**The audio/video should be between 2-3 minutes.
