Important Guidelines to be followed while cremating your pet at Pune Pet Park
1. Cremation is carried out using a traditional wooden pyre. If you choose to perform a pooja as part of the ceremony, we kindly request that any leftover items such as flowers, prasad, or other offerings be either burned along with the pyre or taken back with you.
This helps us maintain the sanctity and cleanliness of the space for all visitors. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
2. Only the vehicle transporting the body will be allowed inside the premises. All additional vehicles must be parked outside. Once the body has been unloaded, the vehicle must be moved from the cremation zone to the designated safe parking area.
Pets and children under 12 years of age are strictly not allowed near the burning pyre. If you are traveling with pets, please ensure they remain inside the vehicle with an attendant at all times.
3. Once the pyre is lit, no one will be permitted near the burning pyre.
You may stand at a minimum distance of 15 feet from the pyre for a few minutes to pay your respects. Photography, videography, or video calls (including FaceTime) are strictly prohibited after 2 minutes of lighting the pyre. These measures are in place to ensure safety, maintain decorum, and respect the solemnity of the occasion.
4. Before completing this form, please ensure you have reviewed the pricing structure outlined under the Pricing tab. This includes details regarding:
Cremation costs & Optional services such as the collection or delivery of ashes.
Please note that this is a completely non-profit service. All proceeds are directed towards the care and well-being of the animals adopted and housed at the park.
5. If you have opted for ash collection, please note that it will be done only after the pyre has fully cooled, which may take several hours.
We kindly request that you do not insist on collecting the ashes personally, as we must prepare the space for other pet owners awaiting cremation services.
If, for personal reasons, you wish to collect the ashes yourself, please inform us in advance. In such cases, the cremation berth can be held for a maximum of 36 hours after the cremation. An additional charge of ₹1,000 will apply for reserving the space.
6. All payments must be made online. Please do not insist on making payment upon arrival. If you choose to pay by card at the site, a non-refundable booking amount of ₹250 must be paid in advance via GPay to confirm your booking. This booking fee is not adjustable against the total amount. Credit card payments are not available after 8:00 PM, so please plan accordingly. Your cooperation ensures smooth scheduling and helps us serve all pet families respectfully and efficiently.
7. Pricing Felines and Canines (below 20 kg): ₹2,500 Canines (above 20 kg): ₹3,500
For extra-large canine pets, additional charges may apply to cover the cost of extra wood required for the cremation. Please note that these charges help support the non-profit care of animals adopted and looked after at the park.
8. Post-Cremation Rituals and Ash Disposal
Please note that no post-cremation rituals are permitted at Pune Pet Cremations. If you wish to conduct any such rituals, you may do so at the location where you choose to dispose of the ashes.
Ashes that are disposed of at the park will be respectfully mixed with manure and used to nourish the plants, contributing to the cycle of life in a meaningful way.
9. Request for Cooperation
We truly understand and empathize with the grief you are experiencing during this difficult time. However, we kindly ask that you adhere to the guidelines in place. These help us serve all pet families with care and ensure a clean, respectful environment for everyone.
For cremations conducted after 8:00 PM, we request that you limit your stay to no more than 15 minutes after the pyre is lit. This consideration allows our staff—who may need to assist other families during the night—to rest and prepare for upcoming services.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
