The Palipattang Pattern

of the Yakan

The pattern that is featured in the cellphone cases is known as the "palipattang," said to be inspired by the rainbow.Dr. Norma Absing Respicio, known Philippine textile expert, desribes the palipattang as "bar lines contained in separate rows interspersed with horizontal lines of rainbow hues" that is "produced in continuous supplementary weft design technique."

Please note that we can only guarantee a predominant color of your choosing when it comes to your handmade Yakan cellphone case. This means every pattern will be a pleasant surprise, as the Yakan community sends you the best that they have to offer.
