The Middle East will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - GCC countries (to include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates), Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine Territories and Turkey
Central and South Asia will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan
North Africa will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Mauritania
ABOUT THIS CATEGORY
This category will recognise the most innovative technological advancement to payments that has helped to deliver an innovative product or service to the B2C market.
This could be the launch of a mobile, digital, wearable, card or omnichannel payment initiative since January 2019.
Their success will be judged on the initiative’s usability, technological innovation, consumer uptake, multi-channel approach, its launch and its impact on service innovation, transaction quantities, revenue and quality of service.
Judges will be looking for evidence of technological innovation and how the deployment of the technology has led to a successful product launch.
