The Fire Station is open for exhibition proposals from all artists and curators for projects at the Fire Station workshop spaces. We welcome art in all media, including painting, photography, mixed media, sculpture, video and installation works. Exhibitions in these spaces are scheduled for up to 2 weeks.
The exhibition proposal application must include:
Name and contact details of the person submitting the proposal
Artist or curator bio
Exhibition concept: this must include exhibition title, theme/ short description and details of the content to be included in the exhibition, as well as list of participating artists.
5-10 images of works to be included in the exhibition, with captions (artist name, artwork title, date, medium, and dimensions/duration for each work).
At the Fire Station, we will do our best to accommodate requests. Fire Station will not cover insurance and shipment costs, but we will assist with installing the exhibition as well as social media coverage for the duration of the exhibition.
Decisions will be made based on merit of project, a clear and articulated concept, and adherence to application guidelines.
An exhibition proposal is not accepted or rejected until the applicants receive a confirmation email from the Fire Station.
